Obituary
Tynisha Moneak Reynolds, affectionately known as Pookey, was born to the late John Robert Reynolds and Theresa Dew on December 2, 1976. She was immensely loved. Some might call her spoiled. She was!
Pookey attended Searcy Public Schools and graduated in 1995. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army National Guard. She later attended Baptist Health College and received a degree in Occupational Therapy while raising two kids.
Pookey’s work history consisted of Unity Health—Clearview, Walmart Distribution Center, and Reaper Physical Therapy. She thoroughly enjoyed working at Reaper; however, her favorite job was being a mom to her three children, Javien, Ja’kiah, and Jontavious, and a grandmother to Amiyah and Jerzi. She had to be the CFO of Tae’s basketball team. She stayed raising money for them. She’d hit the road and travel wherever he was playing. She will always be Tae’s number 1 fan!
Pookey always surrounded herself with her friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved. Videos and pictures have flooded social media of the good times she shared with those she loved. You would never see her without her hair and nails done, fresh gear, and the latest Jordans. Pookey had a passion for R&B music and often went to concerts and shows whenever she could. She loved a great party and a road trip. She had a huge fun, loving personality that will truly be missed.
On March 16, 2024, Pookey won her battle with cancer with her brother Quentin and Shawn Pettis by her side. She was resilient and determined to never stop fighting.
She is preceded in death by her father John Reynolds.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Javien Reynolds, Ja’kiah Reynolds, and Jontavious Reynolds; mother, Theresa Dew and bonus mom Leesa Ganther; grandchildren, Amiyah and Jerzi Reynolds; siblings, Quentin Dew (Shamila Turner), Keiwan Reynolds, Markeysha Dew, Niosha (Ashaun) Aldridge, Tina Fuller; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A public visitation will be held Saturday March 30, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm with funeral services in her honor beginning at 1:00pm, both held at Cenetnnial Baptist Church, 309 North East Second Street in Kensett, Arkansas.Visits: 529
