Sendy Kay Carrington

January 26, 1973 — February 22, 2025

Little Rock

Sendy Kay Carrington was born on January 26, 1973, in Emerson, AR. She was raised by her mother, Corene Younge, and her now-deceased stepfather, Ricky Younge. As the eldest of their three daughters, she was a big sister to Regina Younge (who has passed away) and Tina Halley. In 1990, Sendy met Baron Brooks, and together they had two daughters: Kanissa Brooks in 1994 and Annika Brooks in 2003. In September 2024, Sendy joyfully welcomed her first grandchild, Annalise Perry.

Sendy graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1991 and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, with plans to return and finish her degree in Business Administration. An avid DIY enthusiast, she soon discovered her passion for making scented candles. With the support of her family and friends, she launched 3G Candles, which she named in honor of her faith. She explained that “3G stands for giving God glory,” reflecting her deep devotion to the Lord.

Sendy embodied what it means to have “Main Character Energy.” She was always the life of the party, and her presence lit up any room. More than just a daughter, mother, and friend, she was a teacher, role model, advocate, doctor, therapist, prayer partner, confidant, and someone who challenged us to think more deeply. Sendy could talk to anyone about anything. Not only was she incredibly intelligent, but she also had an infectious sense of humor. We are left with countless memories of laughter, joy, and an overwhelming amount of love from such a phenomenal woman.

We believe the main reason God called Sendy home is that someone as remarkable as Sendy Kay Carrington makes Heaven that much brighter.

Sendy bid farewell to her partner, Baron Brooks; daughters, Kanissa and Annika Brooks; granddaughter, Annalise Perry; mother, Corene Younge and youngest sister, Tina Halley, nieces, nephews, and her extended family and friends on February 22, 2025.
