Rhonda R. Wright Wade
Rhonda Renee Wright-Wade was born on June 9, 1970, to Onzell Wright and Lois Jean Allison in Little Rock, Arkansas. Rhonda transitioned from this earthly life to a place of eternal peace with her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical.
Rhonda was preceded in death by a son (stillborn), her maternal and paternal grandparents, Audie Mae Washington and William Stewart and Mr. & Mrs. Goree Sr. and Charlotte Wright, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rhonda confessed and accepted Christ at a very early age at First Baptist Church on Calhoun Street under the leadership of Pastor William Thrasher, where she served faithfully in the youth choir and Sunday school, and as her faith grew so did her work for the kingdom of God through her frequent participation in the Union District Association alongside her grandmother, Mother Charlotte B. Wright; she loved and served in the church until her health prevented her from doing so.
Rhonda attended the Little Rock School District system and was a proud 1989 graduate of Little Rock Central High. She later furthered her education at Phoenix University, studying early childhood development, an industry she devoted countless time and energy serving others in need. Rhonda was a devout early childhood facilitator, working with infants to pre-kindergarteners for over 30 years collectively with the UAMS Head Start and the Little Rock School District, where she cultivated relationships with children, parents, coworkers, and professionals in the academy. Rhonda was a member of the Arkansas Education Association (AEA/NEA), and she received countless recognitions and awards for her unwavering commitment and dedication in the industry.
Rhonda was united in Holy matrimony with Stanley Wade, and she was a proud mother who doted on your children. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Jasmine Wright and Ebony Washington, a son, Braylon Domineck, a granddaughter, Brinley Cobbs, her parents, Lois (J.D.) Allison and Onzell (Peggy) Wright, brothers Reginald (Brandi) Wright and Tony (Candace) Baker, a sister, Antionette Hill, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.
Rhonda was a courageous, beautiful spirit. A kind, gentle-hearted, loving woman of God, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who always had a word from the LORD to share. She loved Jesus with all her being. She was a giver to those who were in greater need. She lived her life, enjoying each aspect of life with praise and in fellowship with family and friends. She loved to dance, travel, love on her children and grandchild, and of course, dwell in the Lord’s house. She never met a stranger and always greeted everyone with her sweet smile. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished and remembered in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed.
