Evangelist Pamela Jean Lewis (Pam) was born August 1, 1969, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Odessa and Arthur Riggs. She transitioned her earthly life on August 29, 2024, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. Pam graduated from Central High School and took several college courses. Pam was a prayer warrior and loved praise and worship songs. She also loved to dance and was the life of the party. Pam was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and a child of God. She was a pillar of strength for her family, and a woman who lived her life with unwavering faith in the Lord.
Pam accepted Christ at an early age at Rosedale Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Elder Raymond Savage. She later moved her membership to Greater St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Sherman McKenzie where she was a dedicated member until her death. Pam taught Sunday School, sung in the choir, and was a motivational speaker.
Throughout her life, Pam held various jobs and contributed to her community, but she found her greatest joy and fulfillment in being a homemaker. Sher cherished her role in creating a warm and loving environment for her family, always ensuring that they were cared for and supported. Her love for her family was the foundation of everything she did, and she took immense pride in being the cornerstone of their lives. Pam had a love for elephants. She collected different types and sizes of elephants. As a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, Pam was the heart of her family. She was the person everyone turned to in times of need, offering comfort, guidance, and unconditional love. Her home was a sanctuary of love where memories were made, and where her family always felt safe and cherished.
Beyond her family, Pam was a fierce advocate for victims of violence. She was dedicated to standing up for the vulnerable, fighting tirelessly to ensure justice and support for those who needed it most. Her compassion, strength, and dedication to her community were truly inspiring.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father-Arthur Riggs Jr., brother-Marcus Jefferson, daughter-Jameika Lewis, and grandson-Jashun Watson.
Pam leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and advocacy that will continue to inspire all who know her. She is survived by her husband-James Lewis Jr., mother-Odessa Riggs, bonus mother- Brenda Jefferson, Two sons-Arthur Lewis and James Lewis III, Six siblings- Gloria Williams (Llyod), Norma Crutchfield, Diane Austin, Jensie Riggs (Glen), Denise Riggs (Wayne), and Milo Jefferson. Bonus sister-Gwendolyn Cobbs, Seven grandchildren and a host of other family members, nieces, nephews, friends, and members in the body of Christ.
Though she is no longer with us, Pam’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire for generations to come.
