On July 6, 1948, Mary Ann Waits was born to the late Rev. Walter Waits, Sr. and Laura Mary Waits.
Mary Confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of St. Stephens Baptist Church in Dixie Addition in North Little Rock until her health failed.
Mary attended Jones High Scholl. She worked in the nursing field taking care of others as a patient care tech.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter;; Margaret Waits, two brothers; Walter Waits, Jr, and Rev. Charlie Waits, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory a grandson; Charles (Nathateari) Craig, Jr., two grandchildren; Eiress and Eirrowe Craig, three sisters; Ruthie Thomas of Little Rock, Arkansas, Martha (James) Waits Thompson of Cahokia Heights, Illinois, Lula Mae Onyeka (Cahokia Heights, Illinois , an aunt; Gwen Knox of Battle Creek, Michigan, one uncle; Major Withers of Cleveland, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 17, 2022 at 11:00am at Gaines Street Baptist Chuch, 1601 South Gaines Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. The family will receive friends Friday September 16, 2022 from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
