Marion Edward Mitchell, Jr.

Marion Edward Mitchell, Jr., was born on September 8, 1959, to Marion Edward Mitchell, Sr., and Callie Pearl Mitchell.

He attended Pulaski Technical College and received a certificate in HVAC. Marion had many names; Uncle JR., Paw - Paw, Jr. Mitch, and Mitch, but the greatest name he had was “Daddy”. He loved and supported all his kids and grandchildren. Marion loved to walk, golf, and he especially loved slapping meat on the grill. He loved a good pair of Stacy Adams from “Dundees”.

He departed this life on January 25, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Edward Mitchell, Sr., and Callie Pearl Mitchell and his sister, Lisa Mitchell.

Marion leaves to cherish his memories, his dedicated children, Ayatese Mitchell, Makkah Mitchell, Wafiqah Mitchell (Martin), Elijah Mitchell, Karimah Mitchell, all of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Dekashun Lowe of Jacksonville Arkansas; two sisters, Sharon Mitchell-Butcher (Tim) of West Chester, Pennsylvania and Tina Mitchell-Jones (Cedric) of Sherwood AR; one brother, Jerome Sims (Sharon) of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Destiny Lowe, Tashunna Lowe, Riyah Jones, Amiya Jones, Malachi Watson, Angel Watson, Kaden Ward, Blake Bush, Wise Thompson, Safari Mitchell, Logic Walton, and Lola Walton; nieces and nephews, Calysha Butcher, Cedneshaja Jones, Maurice Butcher, Tiyonna Casey, Jerome Sims, Jr., and Justin Sims; the mother of his children, Ms. Dwana Mitchell, as well as a host of aunts, cousins and friends.
