Conway

Latasha Denise Forte’- Jones graced this world on November 14, 1977 to her father; Pastor William E. Forte’ Jr. and her mother Leora E. Forte’. On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the Lord in His infinite wisdom saw fit to call from labor to rest; a beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Pastor Frederick T. Smith Sr., Mary Alice Tramble - Smith, William H. Forte’ Sr., and Lola Mae Rogers- Forte’.

Latasha, also known as “Tasha”, attended Conway Public Schools and graduated May 1997. She professed her hope in Christ with Salem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age in 1992. This is where she began her passion with singing. Upon the Pastorship of her father – Tasha joined the United Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. She was the youth choir director and the mass choir assistant director. Upon leaving United Missionary Baptist Church, the Holy Spirit led her to become a founding member of the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. She served in varies roles which included the Mass Choir Vice President, Mass Choir Director, Youth Choir Director, Kitchen Committee Chairperson, Beautification Committee, and Church Picnic Committee.

On September 25, 1999 she was united in holy matrimony to Thaddeus “Thad” Jones. To this union, a precious child was born, Ciara “Ce” Christine Jones. Tasha’s family was her life. Tasha had a passion for music and loved to sing, shopping with her mother and sister, preparing home cooked meals for her family and friends, reminiscing about family stories and events with her brother, dining at new restaurants, and leading and planning family reunions. She was mostly known for encouraging individuals in using the gifts that God has blessed them with. If you knew her, without a doubt she made a positive impact somehow in your life. Tasha was a dedicated and loyal member of the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church even during her illness.

Tasha began her career working at the Conway Human Development Center. She was highly dedicated in doing exceptional work and retired in 2020.

In addition to her husband Thad Jones and daughter Ce Jones, she leaves the following to cherish her memories: her parents: Pastor William E. Forte’ Jr., and Leora E. Forte’, one very special brother: Quincy Forte’, one passionate sister: Neondra Forte’-Cain (Quintin); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, to include a special friend; Dr. Kimberly Willis.
