Ladella Marie Stokes

LaDella Marie Stokes was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 22, 1991 to the late Deloris Bankston and Darryl Stokes, Sr. After the death of her parents, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Lillie and Ollie Porter. She departed her life February 16, 2023, at the tender age of 31, surrounded by family and friends.

LaDella was educated in the Little Rock School District and graduated from Hall High School. Della attended Cosmetology school after high school and later continued her education at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, AR. LaDella met her fiancé Keyon Hamilton in 2016 and they remained devoted to each other until her death. She lived life to the fullest and despite illness, she enjoyed spending time with her children, fiancé, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Deloris Bankston and father Darryl Wayne Stokes Sr.; one son Kevin Hamilton; two sisters, Latasha Bankston and Kimberly Stokes; paternal grandparents, LaDella Gray Stokes and Clement Stokes; and her maternal grandparents, Odell and Louise Bankston.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: Fiancé, Keyon Hamilton, Sr. of Little Rock, AR.; two sons, Brenden Thompson and Keyon Hamilton, Jr. both of Little Rock, AR; her adoptive mother Lillie Porter of Little Rock, AR; stepmother, Eunice Stokes of Wilmot, AR; two brothers Darryl (Melony) Stokes Jr. of Bryant, AR and Michael Keys of Little Rock; One aunt and uncle, Melvin (Cecil) Armstrong of Greenbrier, AR and Willie Gulley of Little Rock, AR; One great aunt and uncle, Synthian Portis and Charles (Jacqueline) Bankston of Crossett, AR and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, 11:00am at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 6-7pm at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street.
