Johnny Ray Mickles
Johnny Ray Mickles was born on March 1, 1962, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Mary Francis Crutchfield and Archie Mickles, Sr. He was the ninth of eleven children. He departed this life on December 31, 2023, at UAMS Hospital.
Johnny professed his faith in Christ at early age and joined the Greater Friendship Church in Granite Mountain. He later rededicated his life to Christ at Yahweh Ministry of the leadership of Apostle Edward Paige, Jr.
Johnny’s love for family and friends, along with his music, gave him complete joy. You could always find him on the grill or playing his music during the holidays and even on the weekends. He loved people, and one of his best friends in this life was his dog, “Lady”.
Johnny worked at Baptist Health Hospital and was also employed with Jacksonville Sanitation Department.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memories two brothers, Charles Gooden of Little Rock, Arkansas and Arthur L. Mickles (Evelyn) of Okinawa, Japan; three sisters, Gloria D. Paige (Edward, Sr.) and Brenda Brooks (TJ), both of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Linda Mickles of Bryant, Arkansas; a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; three brothers, Robert L. Fuller, Sr., Archie Mickles, Jr., and Bruce Mickles; as well as four sisters, Barbara Brown, Lisa Mickles, Emma Mickles, and Emma Mickles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, 12:00 noon at Grace Inner City Church, 1600 West 16th Street. The family will receive friends Friday, January 12, 2024, from 6-7pm at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street.
