Jimmy Earl Harvey was born June 20, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Alexander Salley, and Ethel Lee Harvey, who preceded him in death. He passed away, on September 17, 2024, in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Jimmy worked for the City of Little Rock, Parks, and Recreation until he retired. He was soft-spoken and mild-mannered. He loved quoting scriptures from the Holy Bible. He also enjoyed basketball, football, and singing.
Jimmy was a joy to our family. He had a special love for the R&B performing group, the Spinners. He was considered shy and reserved by some, however, it was not unusual for him to belt out many of the Spinner's greatest hits during a family function, Serenade an older family member and fill their heart with joy.
Daughter, Toni Nelson, Brother, James Lee Harvey Jr., sisters, Dorothy Marie Matthon, and Janice Tatum preceded him in death.
He has left to cherish his memories, children: Jimmy Earl. Harvey Jr., Tiffany Harvey, Jamie Nelson, and Tassie Nelson, are all from Little Rock. Additionally, two brothers, Willie Lee Miller, and Austin Eugene Salley of Little Rock, and two sisters, Ruby Jean Harvey-Burgin (California), and Loretta Diane Harvey, of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren, four great grand, and a host of precious nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
