James Evans King

James Evans King was born January 29th of 1975. He went home to glory on Saturday, May 13th of 2023, in his home located at Arlington, Texas.



James accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age in life. He read the Bible and loved to talk about the word of God. James graduated from Gould High School. After graduation, he signed up and served 3 years in the Navy. He came home and attended U.A.P.B for 2 years and majored in History with a minor in Art. James' art was purchased from him while he attended U.A.P.B and is still hanging on the wall in the Hicken Botham building today. At his time of death, James was employed at Summit Raceway auto parts factory, located also in Arlington Texas.

James is preceded in death by his parents Joanne (Allen) King and Lavon Lawrence King Sr.

James is survived by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. His sisters are Jacqueline Renee King and Veronica Ann King (Sugar). His brothers are Lavon Lawrence (Tasha) King Jr., Dewayne Allen Thomas, and Kenya Mangrum.



James liked spending time with friends/family: Lee Willie Dale Sr. (uncle), Lee Willie (Lil Lee) Dale (cousin), and Vincent (Tyrone) Livingston. James also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Keith O’Neil Bradley (James referred to Keith as his dear son), Josiah Allen King, Keyonna King, Kmaree King, Lavon King III., and Dewayne Allen King.



While residing in Arlington, James met the love of his life. He was happily engaged to his fiancée Tiffany Spencer. They planned on getting married on December 24th of 2023. James bragged on Tiffany and loved her with all his heart.

James was a true gift from God, and he will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, 11:00am at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 4-5pm at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street.
