Gwendolyn Denise Gray

May 14, 1966 — February 16, 2024

Gwendolyn Denise Gray was born in Helena Arkansas, to Emmit Gray and Mary Stringfellow on May 14th, 1966. Gwendolyn confessed to Christ at an early age and was a member of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church; where she sang in the choir, in Helena Arkansas. Gwendolyn was a resident of Helena Arkansas until she moved to Little Rock Arkansas to start a new life for herself and her daughter Cydney, where she enrolled herself in UALR where she received her Bachelor's and Masters's degrees to become a licensed therapist and social worker. 

 

Gwen enjoyed listening to her music, battle dancing with her daughters, creative decorating with an eye for fashion, playing acey deucey, cooking, and watching her suspense and thriller movies. Gwendolyn never met a stranger and was always ready to help those in need.


She's preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother Jesse Oliver. Two nieces Erin Ward and Kia Bryant-Franklin.


 She is survived by her two beautiful daughters TeQuila Katrice Gray (Mitchell) (West Helena, Ar.) and Cydney Gray (Little Rock, Ar.) Four sisters Linda Bryant (West Helena, AR) Army Retired Sharon L Hill (Raeford, NC) Katie Ruth Wilson (GA), and Yolanda Lashay Jackson (Fredericksburg, VA) two brothers Eddie Gray (Omaha, Nebraska) Kendon Gray (Marianne, AR). 3 grandchildren Kaleigha S. Anderson (St. Paul MN) Darjell and Ki'Reese White (West Helena, AR.) 2 great grands JhaKiy and A'Khia Williams (St. Paul, MN) a very special cousin/sister Mary (Danny) Allen (Stockbridge, GA) A very special and dear friend Derrick Chambers (Little Rock, AR.) A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and work colleagues.

 Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, 11:00am at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204. The family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2024 from 6-7pm at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
