Prophetess Evangelist Florida Mae Lee was born on July 31, 1940, in Charleston, Missouri to Willie Pete Jones and Hattie Mae Williams.
She served for many years as a nurses’ assistant, foster mother, and church nurse, whose passions included serving God in our Christ Jesus and unashamedly and unapologetically spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with an anointing the God used to destroy yokes and lift burdens. She impacted the lives of countless individuals through ministry and acts of kindness, as she traveled the world spreading the Word of God. She ministered with such great tenacity and power that her message didn’t even require a microphone.
Known as a comedian without effort; one of Prophetess’s wise soul winning statements was, “Give me my axe (Acts) and 2 38s (2:38)”, pointing to what the Apostle Peter said on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Her favorite words were, “Repent and put your God in your hearts!”
Prophetess Lee’s spirit and life were a shining beacon of hope, love, and inspiration to everyone she encountered. She had a gift that allowed her to raise not only her children but also the village’s children.
On March 12th, 2025, Prophetess Lee entered eternity’s rest and was met by her children, Arcell, Pricilla, Tommy, and Frieda; her grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher Jr.; her parents, Willie Pete Jones and Hattie Mae Williams; her siblings, Joe Willie, Frankie, Lavinia (Vada), and Doris, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish the life changing memories of Prophetess Evangelist Florida Mae Lee are six children, Mack, Sandra, Terry, Carolyn, Timothy, and Ramona, 26 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, 10 siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
