Demetrius “DJ” Johntavisea Evans was born on May 17, 1998, to Vanessa Williams and Jeffery Evans, in Forrest City, AR. DJ accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Thornton.
DJ was in the graduating class of 2016 at Hall High. After graduating from school, DJ developed his passion for cars. He would get cars, fix them and resale them. DJ was in the process of opening a repair garage with his good friend Dre, because they loved working on cars together, racing them and burning rubber. DJ had a smile that could light up a room, and he will truly be missed.
DJ is preceded in death by his sister, Khadija Williams; his brother, Joshua Evans; grandparents, Helen Williams-Garrett, Robert Philpot, Faye Evans, and Keith and Linda Bealer, as well as his great-grandparents, Bennie and Aline Williams and Eugene and Emma Nabors.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful children, Kyler Singleton and A'Khari Evans; his mother and stepfather Vanessa Williams and Kevin Bealer; father and stepmother, Jeffery Evans and Stephanie White-Evans; his brothers, Xavier Williams and LaDerrion Evans; his sister, Crislynn Sims; his nieces Chloe, Zoey and Elise and nephew, Xavier Jr.; longtime friend and significant other, Kennie Singleton, as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
