Arthur Lee Stewart, 62, of Little Rock, Arkansas suddenly departed this life on October 9, 2022, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arthur, affectionately known as” Parshay” was born November 28, 1959, in Moscow, Arkansas to his mother Clara Mae Williams, and his father James Bernard Steward.

During his early education, he attended Vaster School in Moscow, Coleman School in Pine Bluff, after integration he attended Watson Chapel School District where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1979.

Arthur worked for a short at the Paper Mill before he started working in construction. He worked at JRMC from 1980 until 1983 in doing construction work. He moved to Texas in 1983 where he continued in construction work. After getting injured while in Texas he became disable and returned to Pine Bluff. He worked for himself doing different jobs and we last employed by a Janitorial service in Little Rock, Arkansas from April 2019 until November 2020.

Arthur loved his family dearly. His children, grandchildren loved being in his presence. It was as though he had a magnet that drew people to him especially children. No matter where he went young people were drawn to him and they all loved him. Arthur might have missed his calling as being a professional comedian. Arthur brought laughter to everyone he came in contact with him. He enjoyed collecting antiques and anything he felt was of value. He loved fishing and his dream was to live in the country. He wanted to live off the grid or off the land as he would always say. Arthur didn’t have much but he contributed financially to the Kingdom of God. He had been a faithful contributor to VTN. After being baptized here at College Height he became a giver here as well as several other ministries. He loved God and he showed it by how he treated others.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Johnny and Richola Williams; his paternal grandparents; Samuel Steward and Rosievelt Curry: his brother John Weslry Jackson; his son Anthony King.

Arthur is survived and loving remembered by his children: Victor Mays, Demond Mays, Aundra Bolden, Terrence T. Stewart, Travaris Stewart, Adrion Stewart, Damion Bridgeforth, Randy Bridgeforth, and Zaria Bridgeforth all of Little Rock, AR. Also surviving are his four brother: Rodney Jackson of Warren, AR., Frederick Jackson of Little Rock, AR., Javaris Steward of Lancaster, TX., and Travis Williams of Atlanta, GA.; and his four sisters: Norma J.Hardin(Stacey)of Warren, AR. , Vivian Harris of Warren, AR., Clara Steward-Holley(Marcus) of Frisco, TX., Latonia Steward of Memphis, TN. and Delisa Ray (Frank) of Virginia) as well as grandchildren, great-grand children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, special friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, 11:00am Church of Christ College Heights, 1313 North Magnolia Streety, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71061. The family will receive friends Friday, October 21, 2022, 6-7pm, Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street. Due to COVID-19 a facial mask will be required.
