Alvin Booth, III was born on May 12, 1952, to the late Alvin Booth, Jr., and Willette Cockrell. He departed this life on August 17, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 70 years old. “The days of our years are threescore years and ten…” – Psalm 90:10

He professed his faith in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Scott, Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend J. N. Armstrong. As his faith continued, he joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend J. N. Young and he continued to serve under his present pastor, Dr. Clarence Thornton.

He loved his church and served in various capacities. He served as an usher, president of the Brotherhood Ministry, president of the male chorus, and was an ordained deacon. He was devoted to all his positions.

He was employed with the VA Hospital for 17 years as a dialysis technician. After leaving the VA, he and his family owned JASAC Clothing Store on West 12th Street in Little Rock for 15 years. He was a people person; everyone loved Mr. JASAC.
